Founded in Milan in 1937, Mapei is today the world leader in the production of adhesives and chemical products for the building industry. We implemented our internationalisation strategy in the 1960’s and this has enabled us to be closer to the needs of regional markets and reduce transport costs to a minimum.

Mapei manufactures a wide range of construction chemical products and systems. Included in this range are products for concrete repair, flooring (cementitious and epoxy), coatings, grouts, injections etc. The Mapei UTT range is similarly impressive with a full range of products for all types of tunnelling.

Mapei is proud of its comprehensive range of tile adhesives adapted to all indoor and outdoor installation systems for stone material, ceramic, mosaic, porcelain and agglomerate tiles, on any scale. Mapei cementitious and reaction resin types of adhesives have been applauded and widely adopted by our industry partners worldwide. All Mapei cementitious and epoxy adhesives comply with Standard EN12004.

Mapei also offers a complete range of grouting products for indoor and outdoor, for floor and wall applications in different types of coverings. There are cementitous and epoxy-based types with up to 50 colours available. Mapei coloured grouts stand prominent in the international market because of the high quality that all grout products conform to the European Standard EN13888, as well as the high technologies applied, including mold-resistant BioBlock® and water-repellent DropEffect®.

• Waterproofing Materials   

Mapei has successfully waterproofed and protected roofs, bathrooms, balconies, terraces, swimming pools, bridges, reservoirs and tunnels all over the world, thanks to the simple application procedure and the reliability of our waterproofing products.

One of our well-known water proofer – MAPELASTIC is a flexible cementitious mortar for the protection and waterproofing of concrete surfaces, balconies, terraces, bathrooms and swimming pools. It complies with EN14891 and EN1504-2 standards.

Purtop 400 M HK is an high performance hybrid polyurea product suitable for waterproofing concrete elements with high demand such as bridge deck, flat roof and cut & cover tunnels.

Product Description

1. Mapelastic

Two-component, flexible cementitious mortar for waterproofing balconies, terraces, bathrooms and swimming pools.

• Flexible down to -20°C
• Resistant to UV rays
• Easy application by trowel or by spray
• Minimum applicable thickness of 2 mm in 2 coats
• Can be applied on existing coverings
• In compliance with EN 1504-2 & EN 14891
• Certified EC1 R Plus (very low emission of VOC)
• 5 mm of Mapelastic represents the equivalent of 30 mm of concrete against the aggressive action of chlorides (w/c ratio 0.45)
• Over 30 years of success in waterproofing more than 300 million m2 of surfaces

2. Ultracolor Plus

High-performance, anti-efflorescence, quick-setting and drying polymer-modified mortar with water-repellent DropEffect ® and mould-resistant BioBlock ® technology for grouting joints 2 to 20 mm wide.

• Over 30 colours available
• Very low VOC level
• Conforms to EN13888 as CG2WA & ISO 13007-3 as CG2WAF
• Set to light foot traffic in approx. 3 hours
• Ready for use as short as in 24 hours
• Easy application with rubber trowel
• Suitable for internal and external grouting of floors and walls in all types of ceramic (double-fired, klinker, porcelain, etc.), terracotta, stone material (natural stone, marble, granite etc.), and glass & marble mosaic

3. Kerapoxy CQ

Two-component epoxy grout, easy to apply and excellent cleanability, with a bacteriostatic agent and BioBlock® technology, ideal for grouting ceramic tiles and mosaics.

• Can also be used as an adhesive
• Available in 19 colours
• In compliance with EN 12004 as R2 & EN 13888 as RG
• Certified EC1 R Plus (very low emission of VOC)
• Set to light foot traffic in approx. 24 hours
• Suitable in creating floors, walls & worktops in compliance with HACCP system
• Suitable for grouting tiles in foodstuffs factories, shops, laboratory, kitchens & swimming pools etc.

4. Purtop 1000

Two-component, solvent-free pure polyurea membrane applied by spray with a high-pressure, bi-mixer type pump, to form waterproof coatings for hydraulic works, roofs & bridge decks directly on site.

• Excellent resistance to alkalis & diluted acids
• Excellent tensile strength & tear strength
• High crack-bridging capacity
• Suitable for waterproofing both new & existing structures
• Suitable in waterproofing roof gardens, inverted roofs, metal sheet roofs, storage tanks for drinking water
